Who we are

Candela is an app that helps you build a daily Bible reading habit. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. Questions: contato@candelabible.app.

What we collect

Information you give us: your email address (optional), your quiz answers (goal, available time, Bible experience, reminder time) and your reading preferences.

Usage information: plans you start, days you complete and your reading streak.

Technical information: device and browser type, IP address, time zone, cookies, and the ad campaign that brought you to us (such as UTM parameters or Meta click IDs).

How we use it

To provide the app: recommend a plan, save your progress and let you continue on other devices.

To contact you: send your plan, reminders and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

To measure and improve our ads: we share limited events (for example, finishing the quiz) with Meta through its Pixel and Conversions API. Your email is sent only as an irreversible hash.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and login), Vercel (hosting), Meta (ad measurement) and our email provider. When available, payments will be processed by Stripe and ads may be served by Google.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and measurement cookies (Meta Pixel). You can decline measurement cookies in the cookie notice.

Retention and your rights

We keep your data while you use the app. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to contato@candelabible.app. Depending on where you live, laws such as the LGPD (Brazil) or GDPR (Europe) give you additional rights.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know.
